Ashlee R. Peña, Chief of Staff: Ashlee Peña is a native of San Antonio. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from Trinity University, a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law, and a Master’s degree in Educational Policy from The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining the team, she worked with the Texas Senate and as a policy fellow with the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics.

Cynthia Chapa, District Director: Cynthia has served as District Director for House District 125 since 2003. During that time, she has assisted constituents with various needs, organized book drives, arranged clothing drives, and helped neighbors come together to have a voice in local and state government. Cynthia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from St. Mary’s University and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law.

Kiefer Odell, Policy Analyst: Originally from Fort Worth, Kiefer is a proud UT Longhorn and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government from The University of Texas at Austin. Previously, he interned for Representative Elliott Naishtat, worked on several Austin area campaigns, and served as President of the UT University Democrats.

Alexandra Granata, Legislative Aide: Alexandra graduated from St. Edward’s University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. While in school she was involved in Arabic Club, Women Empowerment, United Nations Council, and interned with The Greentree Group Consulting.

Victoria Godinez, Legislative Aide: Victoria is a MALLF Fellow through the Moreno/Rangel Legislative Leadership Program. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from St. Edward’s University in December 2016. Originally from Arlington, she now calls Austin home.
